19 世紀中，法國在工業革命浪潮下，勞工與技術人員大量進入工廠、農場與鐵道工作，催生了專為勞動者設計的法式工裝（Bleu de Travail）。

這類服裝以堅韌的棉布、鼴鼠皮（moleskin）或牛津布製作，採用深藍色來掩蓋油污與灰塵，並強調多口袋、寬鬆剪裁與耐穿特性。工裝不僅是工作場域的日常制服，也逐漸成為工人階級認同與法國勞動精神的象徵。

PREQUEL 延續對經典工裝文化的敬意，以 1930～40 年代法國軍事作業服的老品為藍本，進行精緻的復刻；使用夏季用牛津布打造，布料的經緯線均採用不均勻紗線編織而成，重現了原始織物的特質和不規則的魅力，設計上最醒目的，是左胸處的大型 D 型口袋，這是當時維修工與技術人員常用來收納工具與筆記的經典元素。

整體版型忠實保留了老工裝的寬鬆線條與高活動度，同時在細節上略作簡化，讓它更符合現代人的穿著習慣。不論是工裝、軍裝收愛好者，又或是尋找高品質日常服飾的你，都能從這件作品中感受到穿著歷史的魅力。
