美式工裝精神 × 日本傳統織紋的跨文化工藝之作

「Beach Cloth」最初誕生於 1900 年代初期的美國東海岸，是為了在嚴寒環境中工作的勞動者所開發的布料。透過兩色素材捻合而成的獨特織法，布面呈現出不規則、略帶凹凸的細膩表現，因那如胡椒般交錯的色點，而有了 “ごま塩（胡椒鹽）織” 的稱呼。

由於兼具保暖、耐用，深受獵人、林業工作者甚至早期的衝浪者喜愛，在海邊休息時所穿的保暖衣物便是以此布料製作，因此得名 Beach Cloth。

1920〜30 年代間，這種布料從東岸一路風靡全美，成為各類戶外工作者與工裝愛好者的日常夥伴。

STUDIO D’ARTISAN 以此經典面料為靈感，結合日本自古以來的日常服飾「絣（Kasuri）」工藝，創造出自家原創的 「絣染 BEACH CLOTH」。經糸使用絣線：呈現斷續直線的獨特紋理，如同細雨落下的景象。

結合日本美感與美式工裝文化的面料，擁有溫潤、樸實、卻獨一無二的氛圍。
