19 世紀末至 20 世紀初，襯衫多為人工縫製，因此價格昂貴。多數人們為了延長襯衫使用的年限，調整出了領片與袖口的替換式設計。

1896 年，Brooks Brothers 的 John E. Brooks 在英國觀看馬球時，注意到選手競速期間，時常因為領片飛揚而影響部分表現，返回美國之後，便開發出首件「Polo collar」襯衫，成為 OCBD（Oxford Cloth Button-Down）的雛形

而最早的六扣型式 OCBD 是在1946年，當時還沒有胸前口袋、側邊襯衫底部有補強料片。

後續到了 1960～70 年代，在設計上加入了胸前口袋與改變了側邊下擺的曲線並取消了補強料片，來到約80年代後，下擺的側邊的曲線角度變得更大。

這類不同顏色交織而成的面料，又稱為：Tattersall 。他們的歷史，可以追溯到 1766 年之前。Richard Tattersall 在英國的 Suffolk 創立了馬匹拍賣市場，並取名為： Tattersalls Sales。Tattersall 這個名字，則是源自於待售的馬匹身上所鋪的毯子。
後來 Lancashire 地區的工坊，開始以純棉編織面料。也很快就被勞動者、莊園的工作者作為襯衫面料使用。

本次 Workers 就是依照1980時期的老品做設計，布料上則是使用紅藍交織多格紋的 SUPIMA牛津布，肩寬與衣身的寬度恰到好處，不會過度寬鬆或收緊，絕對是一年四季都能著用的單品。

■ 品牌介紹：Workers由Takashi Tateno先生創立，品牌主要復刻各類美式經典服裝。Workers工作室雖然位於日本的牛仔聖地 - 岡山市，但令Takashi先生最著迷的並不是牛仔服飾，而是1900s 至 1960s的美國工裝，尤其是不同的工作外套。在美國工人技能最強時代生產的服裝，令Takashi先生深深著迷。他曾表示「當我學會自己縫製並嘗試製作這些服裝時，我才意識到這項工作是多麼的複雜，到底需要怎樣的技術水平才能生產出如此大量的高質量服飾？」。不過當他看到岡山工匠們的縫紉技術時，他知道只要發掘了這些舊衣服背後的製造秘密，他便可以在岡山生產他喜愛的服裝，甚至可以使它們比以前更好。
